I am a licenced Lay Minister at Saint George’s Worcester and Saint John the Baptist Claines. I have been licenced for 8 years, I think.
I became a Christian in my teenage years and was greatly influenced by the Guide and Scout movements. For many years my husband, Phil, and myself ran a joint Ranger Guide/Venture Scout unit in Pershore.
I trained as a teacher in London and then taught in Birmingham. I also taught visually impaired children for many years, in Worcester.
We have two children (now adults) and eight grandchildren, who keep us very busy.
I am involved in many things: Mothers Union, Open the Book (now joint between the churches), Kingdom Arts and Lunch Club. I love to sing and belong to Rock Choir, Claines church choir and Spark to a Flame (our informal worship band).
I enjoy working with a team and particularly being active in both Cafe Church teams.
I love the atmosphere at both churches, which are very friendly, open and welcoming to all.
