St George’s Church                                      Magdalene Room

Car, Bike or on Foot to the Church

From the centre of town, take Upper Tything and continue past the Royal Grammar School, Kwik Fit and Thornelow Lodge. The Upper Tything becomes Barbourne Road.

St George’s Square is a U-Shaped crescent on the right hand side of Barbourne Road. The church is at the end of St George’s Square.

If you were to continue beyond the local Sainsbury’s store, you would pass St George’s Square.

Bus

Ask for the “St George’s Square bus stop”. For an up to date time table please check the bus timetable on the website here or the First Bus app.

Parking

There is parking behind the church on St George’s Lane North. You can then enter the Church through the door that is on St George’s Lane South.

In front of St George’s Church, there is a 3h time limit on car parking in St George’s Square and we would ask that you respect the need for residential parking.

If you are visiting for more than three hours, for example because you are wanting to stay for lunch after Kingdom Arts, come to the Quiet Garden or for a function, then the closest parking from Barbourne Road is on:

  • Barbourne Terrace
  • Thorneloe Road
  • The Riverside School (outside of school drop off and collection time)
