The Quiet Garden around our church offers a place of peace and welcome where people can feel free to escape from the hustle and bustle of the City, reconnect with creation and draw closer to God.
The garden is open 24/7 and can be accessed by following the footpath from the main West church doors around to the right hand side as you stand facing the church.
During this coronavirus outbreak please feel free to enjoy the Quiet Garden but please also be considerate of other users, maintain social distancing and do not congregate in groups. Thank you.
The Garden is a green oasis a short walk from Worcester city centre and the mainline Foregate Street railway station. St George’s Square is also on several main bus routes. There is limited parking available in the Square and you need to keep a careful eye on the time! The possibilities are 45 minutes short term or three hours longer term, depending whereabouts you park in the Square.
The garden is maintained with help from the residents of Saint George’s Square as part of our community involvement. We now have wooden benches placed in both sunny and shady spots for visitors to sit and enjoy the peace and beauty of the garden. We also have young members of our congregation who have built a bug hotel and who are responsible for the bird feeders.
The Quiet Garden PrayerOh Lord Jesus
work in us what you want of us,
For you are indeed the true gardener
at once, maker and tiller
and keeper of your garden
you who plant with the word,
water with the spirit
and give your increase
with your power.
